While on land, the normally elegant Seavan is reduced to crawling about with its powerful wing and tail muscles. How it ended up so far inland, much less in a desert, is anyone's guess.
The thick and rubbery skin of this serpentine being helps to protect it from the abrading sand. Unfortunately, it does nothing against the heat of the sun.
