Fritz Rattery, bitter lab genius and professional exile, got himself banned from the most popular harpy-run network in the realm. Outraged, he swore to build a better one. Not a platform. Not a site. A creature.

He engineered Digibird, a radiant song-harpy who could broadcast every message fed into them. Slogans, rumors, praise, hate. All of it reshaped into bright, catchy tunes for anyone tuned in.

An enthusiastic patron of cruelty as always, Manon purchased and immediately locked them in a cage so he could endlessly enjoy the hateful, ignorant nonsense they was forced to sing for their new owner.

But there was just one flaw in Fritz’s design: they had a mind of their own, and they weren't content to be a plaything for the ultra-rich or a tool to manipulate the masses.

When Manon made the mistake of leaving to replenish his supply of crushed mermaid eggs, Wellington was ready. Long weary of the constant chorus of negativity in the manor, he seized the chance to help set her free.

And now they fly, disconnected from the toxicity and hatred that once filled them... and maybe, just maybe, they could find their own happiness in this terrible land.
