They grew up where others wouldn’t tread, climbing rusted towers of scrap with a wrench in their pocket and a junkyard dog at their heel. Broken machines were puzzles. Trash was treasure. The dog was family.

Then they found something that didn’t belong.

Buried deep in the metal heaps was a device too clean, too perfect. When they touched it, it woke up. A towering red-faced hologram named Hardon declared them chosen, praising their scavenger’s instincts and their attitude. Before they could argue, light tore through the yard.

Child and dog were pulled apart, digitized, and fused back together.

They woke in Niflheim, a realm of shadows and obscene monsters. Hardon’s voice echoed in their helmet. This place was the threat. They were the answer.

Now reborn as the Scrapyard Ranger, they fight through nightmare wastelands with scavenged ingenuity and brutal force. They summon a colossal mecha-dog into battle and wield the Power Bone, a gravity-crushing weapon that pulverizes anything twisted enough to stand in their way.

They were raised on scrap, but they’re here to clean up a far worse mess.
