The Demon Hunter branch of the Church of the Unholy Mother lives by a single maxim: fight fire with fire. Their most devout young females are sent to battle lesser unholy spirits, the harsh trials meant to prepare them for the greater devils that rule over Niflheim.

This particular Toi, however, met the same fate as many bunny maidens before her. During one such encounter, she was tainted by the very corruption she was meant to resist, gradually adopting the creature’s more unsavory instincts and habits.

But unlike those who came before, she refused to quietly submit to the Church’s judgment. When the executioners came, she fought back — and won. Now she roams free in the vast, nightmarish hellscape of Niflheim, a dangerous anomaly the Church would very much like returned.
